Clonorgan Biotech Co., Ltd. has cultivated more than 10 kinds of gene editing donor pig populations, carried out more than 60 cases of liver and kidney transplantation from pigs to monkeys. 6 GE donor pigs were provided to most of Chinese xenotransplantation groups. 9 cases from pig liver and kidney to brain-dead recipients and patient. The main preclinical and clinical collaborators are (i) Professor Gang Chen of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, (ii) Professor Yi Wang of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University in Haikou, (iii) Professor Kefeng Dou and Professor Weijun Qin at Xijing Hospital in xi’an. Professor Gang Chen’s group finished 4 gene-modified pig kidney transplantion into rhesus monkey, Out of six monkeys, almost three survived for more than half a year, with a survival rate exceeding 50%. Professor Yi Wang’s group carried out the first two pig kidney transplants in brain-dead decedents in China, with follow-up for 12 days. Kefeng Dou’s group performed the first pig heterotopic (auxiliary) and orthotopic liver transplant in a decedent in the world after 10-days’ follow-up. Weijun Qin’ team carried out the third pig kidney transplants in brain-dead decedents in China, with follow-up for 22 days, and then the first living patient in China and fifth in the word, now survival time is more than 3 months.
